Re: TWO MOONS on 27th August - ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE

This is actually not going to happen. I looked at star charts and there is no way it's even good to view Mars right now. Last time Mars was good to see was April, and that wasn't a close approach. I think the most likely source of these e-mails etc is back from 2003 when there was really good viewin...

Re: Shocking - Corkscrews!

I think the problem was that the old ones weren't very good. I found the remains of a few upstairs in the bar. They'd basically snapped. There were plenty left the other day though. Perhaps we should remind vollies not to eat the corkscrews this time :)

Re: TWO MOONS on 27th August - ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE

It's tempting to go somewhere darker with my telescope. Would involve a car though as it is much to big and delicate to go on a bus....

Any Volunteers Free to Work Saturday Night in Cafe?

Hey lovely people. Was wondering if any lovely volunteers would be free to work on Saturday night. It's my first night as Night Manager, and up until now, there is nobody to help me in the cafe from 10pm. If you're up for it, give me a message, or just come along and help out. Cheers lovelies. Charl...

Was it in the Cave drawer in the kitchen?

Re: Been Beanscene

That is indeed interesting. It always seemed like a place that was packed out in the evenings. Would have been good if individual franchises were up for sale.....

Re: Key not available for the cave – again!

Yes the key is definitely missing. I looked through the Caves today to check if someone had locked it in there. No joy. It's also not in the kitchen, unless it's somewhere really silly. Sign out sheets always need to be stocked up in the drawer in the kitchen. Nobody has signed out the key to the Ca...

Re: Menu Change Meeting

I've looked at the Costco website. Apparently they don't do things like display fridges now. I definitely once saw things like beer fridges and the display cabinets for drinks (unfortunately they had Coca Cola written down the side) in the one near my parents down south. Maybe they just stopped doin...

Re: stockroom shelf stacking

Yes I am now better thankyou. Very tired still, but that's ok. One thing I did in the Dry Store this week was move all the stuff so it's together with the rest of the same item. I just figured that this would help people with the stock taking and would also help vollies find things when they're in a...

Re: tate modern uses the forest as inspiration for a new space

We were displaying cakes in front of the till today in those cake thingies to make way for the Euro Soup food. It worked great, and people seemed to be asking for them a little bit more. Maybe because they were nearer to eye level...
