Hey guys,
totally forgot to check this thread sooner. I'm really up for helping tomorrow and already have keys to forest. What time are people starting in the morning?

Non Violence Training
29 November – Glasgow, Violence and Nonviolent Power The call to compassion and justice leads to a rejection of the cycle of violence, which diminishes and degrades. This requires us to develop the capacity to be nonviolent in our daily lives and relationships. This workshop will focus on the core e...

Re: Cafe and Events meeting 3rd September 2008
Spending lots of money on lasers was not approved by any WG that I recall. Spending some money on a new fridge was a decision taken by the C&E WG, this decision is well within the remit. For the kitchen to be effectively run and to make the new menu a success we need some equipment that actually wor...

Re: moving the freeshop
Also, the state of the Red Room saddens me every time I walk in the door. It used to be warm, welcoming and beautiful. Now it looks horrendous o matter how many ways we've tried to arrange it. The Free shop needs to move, save the Red Room!

Re: moving the freeshop
I think we should definitely move the Free Shop to the shop shop. I suggested it ages ago but everybody thought it was a bad idea. At present the Free Shop is left largely unattended, left to smelly homeless people (I only object to to noisy ones who stink of booze) and people who don't know what co...

The new menu should be able to cater for this without a problem. Let's do it, porbably goes without saying that a generous amount of help will be required.

Re: Teaspoons
Cheers Dai.
It does really irritate me when people insist on needing a teaspoon to stir their beverage. As if the idea of using a larger spoon is inconceivable. Like dude, it makes no difference.

I worked my ass off during the festival before I was 18, as did Anna and I'm sure many others. This is not cool.

What do people think about giving the main cafe space a bit of a make over? It's looking a bit worn in places and it's been a wee while, some fresh paint work would be nice.

Myself and few others would like to hold a yoga group in Forest. Ideally we'd like to find someone capable of leading a class who would be willing to volunteer an hour or two a week. If not we'd still like to have the space and matts available for people to use. We're thinking a few mornings each we...

We are starting up a brand new tranquility team!
The purpose of this is to teach us basic core skills on dealing with conflict. This will make everyone happier and give us the knowledge and confidence to deal with difficult situations. Yeay!
First meeting on Thursday at 7pm in the cafe.

Where is the action room book? Has the system changed? Surely it should be in a drawer in the kitchen so people can actually use it.
Does anyone know if it's free on April 16th 7.30pm - 9pm and Sat May 10th 7pm - 9pm? Would be good to know asap.
