Aye Gandhi, that totally put me off studying art after GCSE. Half a second to have the idea, half a year to put together a totally fake account of where it came from and how it was "developed".

There is a money box on the wall by the door. Prices are also on the wall.

This is all explained to people when they come for an introduction, which should happen before they start using the room.

Nice work.

You could try changing the channel on the D-Link so it can't interfere with the Linksys.

When I get a chance I'll see about swapping the standalone modem back in.

Right. Our ADSL line fluctuates between up and down and retraining continuously. I've tried with two different ADSL modems and two different filters with the exact same results, tried disconnecting all the phones etc, nothing helps. The SNR and attenuation figures are not spectacular but should be ok...

martin - where should one go for the proper WAN-LAN status info?
Status / Interfaces.

You can also get onto the web interface for the modem, at 192.168.0.1. Login is 'admin' with the same password as for the router.

Re: Why our servers are down

The connection on the ADSL line is PPPoA. We have been using the ADSL modem as a PPPoA - PPPoE bridge, and then doing PPPoE on the router. This is nice because it keeps all the control and queues and so on in one place, which helps with the QoS stuff we need to do to make the net usable with lots of...

We seem to be totally spam free now. We require users to register an account before they post. As part of the process they have to type in a code from an image, which is designed to be hard to read automatically. These things are known as CAPTCHAs . In phpBB3, which is the software we use, you can t...

Actually, better keep it intact for now in case there are problems with the new setup.

Last night things seemed a bit flaky but as far as I could tell the problems were at BT's end.

I'm going to come check on things today.

I've replaced the flaky D-Link wireless router with the Linksys WRT54GL we bought some time ago.
