i think the main issue currently is that publishing the programme as a News item makes it look fugly. i think we should ask whoever does Events and Promotions to add Event items rather than just copy paste the text (and sometimes not even bothering to format it to make it more legible). i'm not sure...

i created extra block displays for the event calendar View for each event type (apart from 'General meeting', which i'll probably add into the 'Other Free Events' block).. this means there are now four upcoming event list blocks on the right hand side of the front page, making it much easier to tell...

ah, the programme is just out and it notes there is a gig on (which wasn't on the main website's calendar) with 5 bands, so probably not i'd guess? only requiring one mic now though..

jukeboxes can be nifty, but yeah, The Forest has a very big free/open ethos when it comes to participation, and the current laptop setup is as much equipment as we require to have auditory entertainment in the cafe. n.b. the current laptop jukebox's Last.fm account a Last.fm group for Forest patrons

It is free but we can't have our own domain name or change the code at all
