Ideas for upcoming films
If you can think of a film that we could show for Film Night (every Monday), please post here, or PM me.
At the moment, we have Brothers of the Head, which sounds very good.
Keep them coming.

i have salo , the worst film every made , it based on Marquis de Sade 120 days of Sodom.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sal%C3%B2_ ... _di_Sodoma
i personally dont want to watch it again , it very disturbing . but if other are interested then . this is rare opportunity to see this film . as it took me ages to get this on dvd as its out of print .
also i have holy mountain , heralded as the closes a film can get to an acid trip.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Holy_M ... 73_film%29
this is a long film , so maybe el topo may be a better introduction to the work of Alejandro Jodorowsky
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Topo
Alejandro Jodorowsky i find very interesting as he originally was going to make dune , he assembled the team to make it, and for some reason it got panned , the best part of this team went on to make alien . i dont think he has made a mainstream film , but his influence is certainly there .
el topo reminds me of kill bill , a cross culture mishmash of pulp , i have this too , bu tit needs to be burned onto a dual dvd

This Monday is St. Patrick's Day.
Plastic Paddy's No. 1 Choice everywhere must be
Leprechaun 4: In Space, 1997
Tagline:
"One small step for man. One giant leap of terror!"
Mad spolier alert:
In the aftermath of the battle, one of the Marines, Kowalski, urinates on the Leprechaun's decapitated head.
Pvt. Delores Costello and Kowalski leave the group of celebrating Marines to have sex in an abandoned area of the ship. During foreplay, Leprechaun emerges from the marine's penis, killing him.

Anybody able to download this in time?

Is anyone interested in buying a copy of Anarchy And Alchemy, the book about all of Jodorowsky's films?
I incorrectly bought two off Amazon for £9 each, much to my dismay!
Any offers accepted.....

Next week (31/3) it will be Brothers of the Head.
am i right in saying that the tuesday night event is for documentaries rather than fictional films? or did the conversation re the distinction at the related WG a couple of months or so ago not reflect reality?Welsh Dai wrote:I always bill Tariq's Tuesday nights as

If someone can get hold of/download a copy
Escape To Victory is a timely surefire topical winner.
Michael Caine at his shouty crackers best.
Sylvester "This frigging game is ruining my life" Stallone all heart showing scant regard to the rules of the beautiful game.
Bobby Moore, Pele, Ossie Ardiles.
The rest of the allied team featuring half of Ipswich FC XI circa late seventies, a Pole, a Norwegian, a Belgium, a Scot, a Dane, one from Ireland, another from Holland.
