Diwali Night

Post by Mister C » Mon Nov 12, 2012 3:30 am

Hello Folks

Next week is Diwali, the Indian version of Xmas, but way cooler.

I've arranged for a Sitar group for Toll Cross to come over on Sunday evening (only time they can come and its the last day of diwali). I've also spoken to Emma about doing some Indian food on the evening, and have someone compiling some bollywood movies to screen

A couple of things I need are

1. Projector and screen
2. Any one fancy having a go at some Henna tattoos
3. A quick wee poster, have visual just need someone to make it pretty
4. Access to the PA

A few other wee things to add will be bindis and candles, lots of candles (its a traditional diwali thing) so if people can bring spare candles/candle holders that would be sweet.

Chatting to Martin last night I thought it might also be good to make it an all dayer, there's nothing happening sunday and we could liven the place up and pull a few more people in.

Thoughts/suggestions/helping hands? Anyone?

Cheers

Iain
