Ethical Banking - the Oil Bank of Scotland

Post by danny » Mon Oct 15, 2007 6:44 pm

Someone was telling me that the Forest banks with the Royal Bank of Scotland the other day. People and Planet people tell me this is very bad. The Royal Bank are the no. 1 sponsors of Climate Chaos. We should switch banks and let them know why. Could we switch our account to a nice ethically sound Smile account and encourage others to do the same?

( I think those addresses are just about right..)

I think it's the Bank of Scotland we use. Ethical banking does get discussed but it's not so easy.

For what it's worth, we're looking into a savings account right now (where we will keep the bulk of our money) and we will probably use Triodos.

Yes, I've been trying to get us one of these. But there are complications. Privacy issues.
