Housing Co-op?

Post by HGiles » Wed Feb 29, 2012 10:32 am

Hallo all,

Are you interested in setting up a housing co-op, but don't know where to start? Are you looking for somewhere to live in Edinburgh in the long term? Tired of landlords, but don't want to buy anywhere either? Vaguely interested in the idea of housing co-ops, but not really sure you can commit? Do you ears just perk-up a bit when you hear the words "housing co-op"?

A small group of radically-minded folk are in the early stages of setting up a new housing co-op in Edinburgh. Right now, we're just looking for people who might be interested. You don't have to commit just yet, or start at the very beginning: we've done some of the research, and now we're holding an informal meeting for anyone who's interested.

If you'd like to come along or hear more, please fill in this super-simple Doodle poll with the times you'd be able to come to a meeting the week after next: http://www.doodle.com/ndf5h2k5b9i58yve All you have to do is tick the times you can do, and we'll call the meeting for the time most people can make. Do fill it in soonish so we can fix the time.

You might also want to have a look at these resources about co-ops from Radical Routes: http://www.radicalroutes.org.uk/publica ... urces.html

Please please do forwards this email to anyone else you think might be interested.

Any questions? Drop us an email!

Thanks,

Harry and Molly
