cool guide to printing and stuff.

Post by chris » Mon Sep 15, 2008 12:42 pm

yo crew,

check this, good overview and chat on screen printing and other printing methodology.. written in a diy style.

picked up a couple of tips on the actual printing bit too - seems we should use squeegees with curved edges for fabric, and we should sort out clampy things tamben.

http://www.signindustry.com/screen/

is very good resource, lots of stuff on squeegees.. etc..

key thing on squeeggees - softer blade lays down more ink, curved blade tip lays down loads of ink. (ie. i was using the wrong type of blade...)

also has great ideas for adjusting the off contact distance!
