Post by James » Mon Jan 14, 2008 11:04 am

I have been talking to several people recently who would like to use the darkroom but can't get in touch with anyone. What is the best way? darkroom 'the squigly thing' theforest 'dot' org 'dot' uk? someone said they had tried that and got no answer?

thanks, it's quite spam free so far, and I do receive emails to it. How many people? How recently? if someone's saying they're not getting a reply, who knows, maybe there's some server incompatibility or whatever. could they call me directly from the forest phone in that case?

Dark room

Post by pmc39 » Fri Feb 29, 2008 12:26 pm

I sent an e-mail to the address up on the website a while back without getting an answer. Just in case it didn't get through: who should I contact about using the darkroom?

I don't know if Dan is about at the moment. If you want to use the darkroom I can show you round.

That would be very kind of you. Do you reckon this Friday or Sunday could be a possibility? I was wondering as well: what would I need to bring along? Paper/dev/fix?

Sunday evening is possible.

We have supplies of all the liquids, but you should get some paper. You can get it at the wholesale department of Black & Lizars which is on the 1st floor of 8 Shandwick Place. If you don't manage to grab some, you can use a bit of mine to get started.

Are you wanting to develop film, or just print?

I do my developing at home, so I just wanted to do some printing really. Sunday evening would be great for me. Should I just go along to forest and ask for you?

Thanks for the Black and Lizars tip too. I was wondering where to go to get stuff in Edinburgh. You don't know anywhere that does out-of-date film by any chance?

I don't know anywhere, but let me know if you find something!

Re: Sunday, give me a call/text on 07813 833301 on Sunday afternoon and we can work out timing.
