chess tuesday evening?

Post by James » Mon Jun 16, 2008 10:47 pm

so i've been ill for a week and a bit now.
its very annoying.
i can't talk properly
i am getting very bored

I will be around forest tuesday 17th from 8 or 9pm. I challenge any good chess players to a match.

Last time I looked, I couldn't find any chess pieces. If you have a chess board to, that would also go down well. If you have a chess clock to, that would be great.

Can we buy a chess clock for the cafe? about £25, a quick internet search tells me.

There are some chess clock applications you can run on a laptop.

get a decent chess clock!!!

its one of the dreams...

but keep it somewhere safe...
Maybe it could work? But it will be a kaleidoscopic blend of mysterious shadows and rainbow hued-dreams seen through compassionate tears.

If you are planning on having a regular slot, it could come out of the workshop budget. You could keep it with you like Zi keeps the mbira stuff.

Sunday is Cameo double bill day, so not good for us (unless we don't want to see the films, but that's rare...)

james; yeah, i'd be up for helping with that. what's your plans for this sunday? i'm free then. as per our convo the other day, i've got 1x pieces/board, but does anyone else know the situation with the forest set or is it definitely missing bits?

as for a day other than sunday, i'm busy most upcoming week day nights with various group meets/events or friend visitations, although could see what i could fit in in the future if anyone has any suggestions for alternative times if sundays isn't generally suitable.

Please - no posters on the freshly painted doors and blue walls!! We are trying to keep those surfaces clean. Also, I think poster proliferation means too much clutter and no one reads any of it. Much better to have only a few up in strategic spots. Thanks!
