Quite up for this I think. I hope my hybrid mountain/pathbike will be okay, it's not as fast as a mountain bike. Comfy though.
I've had it with you. If I had an image of a laser gun I would absolutely position it right here in my hand...

I can register for everyone and get money of everyone later.

What start time do we want?
9.00am 9.20am 9.40am 10.00am
I vote for later myself.

So they are asking people to raise money for Lukemia research - http://pedalforscotland.org/files/charity.htm
Personally I quite like the idea of raising money for Amnesty. (I've thought about it carefully for several months now and although there are arguments each way on balance Protecting The Human kinda sounds like a good idea). Amnesty is not on their list of Charities you can support but we can just organise it ourselves.

It says T-Shirt Size on the form .... maybe they give us ones? hmmmmmmmm. it says "Please make sure that numbers are displayed prominently on the front of clothing as requested in the entry pack. " maybe we can do something for our backs

Anyway, private message me your address, phone, email, emergency contact and shirt size for the entry form.

I didn't realise this was gonna involve t-shirts and registrations.

Ok - Me, Simone and Graeme have been registered.
Everyone else - you have to register your details under the team "Team Forest"
Or if you don't have a British bank account, send me the details and I'll do it and you can pay me back.
Looking forwards to it!

Did you hear about this even?
Big Fundraising Cycle - 50x50 - 13th September

In order to help with our work and to find a permanent base for Xchange Scotland we are running a big fundraising weekend on the 13/14th of September. One element of this will be a sponsored cycle to Edinburgh along the Forth and Clyde and Union Canals, from Glasgow on Saturday the 13th.

The cycle will take place along the tow paths of the two canals and will be nice and flat, so it should be easy enough for people of varying fitness levels to complete. We will take it easy and enjoy the journey, with a bumper picnic planned for lunch. We will also take time to enjoy the various sights along the way, such as the Falkirk wheel and the Antonine wall (Roman) amongst others. Penny Farthings are optional.

The aim is to recruit 50 people who will all try and raise £50 pounds each. We are well on our way with over 20 people signed up already and we think although effort is required, £50 is a realistic target for people to achieve. For those that don't have bikes, we can help to find one for you, so that everyone can take part.

If you or your friends are interested in taking part, then please contact martin@xchangescotland.org for more information, or a sponsorship form. Xchange Scotland is a non profit voluntary organisation that is run exclusively by volunteers and every single penny that is raised by this event will go to help pay for an office for the group. All your help is greatly appreciated and for a good cause.

But now you do on a public message board? you rock :-)

anyway, anyone who wants to register must do so by 5pm tue 9th sep

I am going to register my friend tom first thing tomorrow morning.

Cone, if you and Louise want to register yourself that is cool - but as time is very much running out maybe one of you should phone me. I'll PM you my mobile number. Basically, If I don't hear from you by 4pm ish, I'll register louise anyway ...

diaci13, probably a little late to arrange now if you don't have a bike ... I'll PM you my mobile anyway, call me tomorrow if you can sort a bike out.
