Jobo found in darkness/ Intro B&W

Post by brittonie » Sun Sep 19, 2010 1:31 pm

There is a Jobo processor we found in the darkroom.
It looks as though it's working, but needs a dial and a tank... perhaps more?

Wondering if anyone knows where it came from, maybe has it's missing pieces?

If we could get that into functioning order, people could process their own colour film which would be absolutly amazing- and save $$$$ (sorry no pound key)
-----------------------------------------------------------

As for the intro B&W
Hoping maybe to get people to sign up if interested, as we're working out the finer details of when it's going to start and getting everything together.
I think there would need to be a max cap of 8 people, going on available space, and enlargers... though we'll try to work around if more people are interested, or want to come for just the film processing demos, or something?

------------------------------------------------------------

If anyone knows where to get free screens, like window screens or fine mesh, please grab it or tell us where it is, Lara and I want to build a print drying rack!
wet, dirty and dangerous.

Hi Brittonie! Im Mira (evs). I'd love to help with the dark room. I am sure we can find necessary stuff from freegle or sunday market or sth like that. Do you have a meeting on tue 21st about the darkroom?

Also with B&W dont think it will be a problem to find 8 ppl to start a course :) I could make a poster and hang somewehre at the unis etc.

Just let me know how i can help you and i will gladly do it :)

Hi folks,

I'm one of the former darkroom co-ordinators.

The Jobo processor that's in there is missing all its bits. We never had them. I kept the base part because it still works as a temperature-controlled bath you can keep your solution bottles in.

Ah word! thanks!

Do you have technical working knowledge pertaining to enlarger repairs?
There's a colour head that needs some illuminating love
and a b&w head that has a bulb issue - crazy long exposure times f5.6 at 1.5 to 4 min.!!!

tested with different developers, negative and papers.

SOS
