Selling chap books

Post by swithun » Wed Sep 05, 2012 11:32 pm

This came in on info@. I told the person that we would be selling merch at events, even if we didn't have a shop yet. Can anyone say if/when there will be a literary event next?

I can supply the person's name and book title upon request.
I was at the Amanda Palmer gig in Edinburgh last month, and you made
an announcement about the reopening of Forest (yay!) and also
mentioned that you were looking for new arts projects to house at the
venue.
I'm a young writer from Glasgow, and I spoke to Ryan Van Winkle a
while ago about the possibility of Forest selling something by me -
however when we spoke the fate of the Forest was still up in the air.
Would you still be interested? I finished a collection of microfiction
called XXXXXXXXXX a couple of years ago, and I've been looking
for something to do with it. If you were up for it, I could hand-make
some small chapbook-like copies of it out of card and paper, and pass
them on to you to sell for whatever price you felt was right.
Would this be something you could / would like to do? I don't know if
the new place is going to have a shop, and if it's not what you're
looking for no worries. If you are interested, drop me a line and I
can bring in a sample copy for you to have a look at.
Thanks!
